The City has $52 million more in annual revenue than estimated because the Province asked for less than budgeted for. Under Council policy, this money cannot be used for day-to-day expenses. The City can however use these funds for the initiatives the Province often helps to pay for, including one-time expenses used to build things, or for reducing our debt.
