How to Submit a Calgary Awards Nomination

Step 1:
Review the award categories and determine which category is most appropriate for the person, organization, or group you wish to nominate. There are 17 awards and some have different eligibility requirements.

Step 2:
Submit a letter of nomination, two to five pages in length, you may submit supporting materials such as newspaper articles, photographs, testimonials, etc.

• Materials must be kept to a maximum of 14 pages, single sided (this includes photographs) and, these pages must be a maximum size of 8½" x 11".
• Type your nomination letter, or use legible handwriting on plain, white paper.
• Cerlox or bound presentation folders will not be accepted.
• The nomination package submitted will be reproduced many times for the jury.
• Nominations will not be returned.

The Calgary Awards juries review all nominations and make recommendations for Council approval. The juries base their decisions entirely on the information provided in the nomination package.

Step 3:
Once you have written the nomination letter and pulled together any supporting material, complete the online nomination form (available mid December 2011). As supporting material cannot be attached to the online form please forward such material as an attachment file to calgaryawards@calgary.ca

Step 4:
You can mail, fax or email your nomination package.  Nominations must be received by the deadline of Friday, March 2, 2012.
