We Don't Live There Anymore
John Lawrey and the Lawrey Gardens
The land known as Lawrey Gardens today served as "home" to many people for 71 years, almost twice as long as it has been a park.
This exhibit traces John Lawrey's establishment of his market garden by the Bow River, the continued farming by his heirs, and the use of the land as "home" to many people during the Second World War and the post-war years.
The opportunity to grow your knowledge of Lawrey Gardens is in the Municipal Atrium until mid-2017.
