Licence and Community Standards Appeal Board

Operations during potential disruption to postal service.

In the event of a labour disruption affecting postal service, the following arrangements are in place to ensure the continuity of customer service and business operations. Appeal submissions: Submissions about a matter under appeal may be emailed to lcsab@calgaryca, or hand-delivered or couriered to Fourth floor, 1212 - 31 Avenue N.E., Deerfoot Junction 3 Building (DJ3 Bldg.), during regular business hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Free parking is available in stalls designated "Reserved for City of Calgary." Appeal decisions: Paper copies of decisions which would normally be physically mailed will be sent by courier during any disruption to postal service.

What is the Licence and Community Standards Appeal Board?

The Licence and Community Standards Appeal Board (LCSAB) is a quasi-judicial board established under the Municipal Government Act and the City of Calgary Bylaw 50M2011. It is a tribunal, consisting of five citizen members appointed annually by City Council. Board members are appointed for one-year terms coinciding with the calendar year.

 

The Board hears appeals with respect to decisions of The City of Calgary Administration.

Where and when does the Board meet?

 

The LCSAB conducts its monthly meetings commencing at 9:00 a.m. in suite #101 at 1212 31 Avenue NE. The Board meets until all appeals on the agenda for that day have been dealt with, or until 4:30 p.m. Appeals not dealt with are adjourned to the next scheduled meeting.
