Ward boundary changes

Revisions to ward boundaries for the 2017 Municipal General Election are necessary to address issues related to an imbalance in the distribution of population across wards.

The new ward boundaries, once adopted, will come into effect on Election Day (October 16) 2017. A total of 58 communities within Calgary will be impacted by the changes proposed in Bylaw 25M2016.

A copy of Bylaw 25M2016 may be viewed by the public during office hours at the City Clerk’s Office Corporate Records section located on the main street level of the Administration Building, 313 7 Avenue S.E. The office hours for the City Clerk’s Office are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
