Facility Management plans, builds and operates The City's workplaces and civic spaces. We have a diverse portfolio of 275 civic facilities, totalling 4.22 million square feet. We are responsible for centralization of operations and maintenance, and integrated civic facility planning. Our professional expertise and customer service enables City employees to focus on critical service delivery to you. Delivering safe, functional, accessible, affordable, reliable, sustainable, and resilient civic facilities that optimize staff productivity is our key goal. We also preserve, conserve and protect heritage assets on behalf of The City to create strong and vibrant communities.

Your highest expectations are around responsiveness, work-place safety and the delivery of quality professional management services. Our core focus remains on planning, building and operating civic facilities to balance the environmental, social, economic and cultural needs of employees, communities and citizens. We will provide value for your investment, simplifying and streamlining business processes and procedures, and eliminating service silos. We’ll build towards long-term community sustainability through reuse of buildings and structures, creation of jobs, heritage tourism, and community revitalization and partnerships that enrich your life. Developing sustainable strategies to encourage creation of activity centres, community hubs and public meeting spaces is a key outcome to making Calgary better, every day.
