Applying for an Articling Position with Law and Legislative Services

The City of Calgary Law and Legislative Services welcomes applications from all interested second and third year Canadian law students, persons with a Canadian law degree as well as international law students an welcomes applications from all interested second and third year Canadian law students, persons with a Canadian law degree as well as international law students and lawyers who are eligible to work in Canada and have obtained a Certificate of Qualifications for Canada from the National Committee on Accreditation​.

Applications shall consist of a cover letter, resume, undergraduate and updated law school transcripts, and two written references. Please do not include any writing samples. Applications submitted via email should contain all of the above as one file in PDF or Word format.

Applications for 2018-2019 articles are to be received no later than 4 p.m., on Friday, May 19th, 2017 via courier, mail, fax or email. 

Interviews will be conducted the week of June 5, 2017, in accordance with the Law Society of Alberta Rules (Division 2 - Students-at-Law - Recruitment).
