The Citizen Satisfaction Survey is an important voice for citizens. Every year Calgarians have the opportunity to provide input on The City’s performance, their satisfaction with civic services and overall quality of life.
The results of this survey are shared with City departments allowing The City to improve its business and services with Calgarians’ participation and involvement. It is also used for performance measures in corporate business plans.
The results from the
2012 Citizen Satisfaction Survey, conducted by Ipsos Reid, show that in general Calgarians are happy about life in Calgary. In fact, the survey found that 95 per cent of Calgarians give The City a positive rating for overall performance.
- 83 per cent (from 79 per cent in 2011) of Calgarians rated The City’s quality of service as consistently high.
- 81 per cent said they are satisfied with City Programs and Services, a six percentage point increase from 2011 (75 per cent).
- 81 per cent of citizens believe that The City of Calgary government fosters a city that is inclusive and accepting of all people.
