During the annual Citizen Satisfaction Survey, Calgarians have the opportunity to provide input on The City's performance, their satisfaction with civic services, and overall quality of life. The results of this survey are provided to Council and Administration to shape and influence decisions about The City's business plan, corporate priorities and budget.
The results from the
2011 City of Calgary Citizen Satisfaction Survey, conducted by Ipsos Reid, show that in general, Calgarians are happy about life in Calgary. In fact, the survey found that 92% of Calgarians give The City a positive rating for overall performance.
- Nearly 80% of citizens rated The City's service quality as consistently high.
- Satisfaction with City programs and services has gone up 7 percentage points over the past three years.
- The belief that The City practices open and accessible government has increased 15 percentage points in the past year.
- 83% of citizens are satisfied with the communication they get from The City.
- 86% of citizens believe we are on track to becoming a better city.
