The business unit is committed to advancing a sustainable urban form by supporting land planning and management, capital construction, policy development and informed decision making.
Through leadership, innovation, integration and partnerships CAI supports the Corporation from economic, social and environmental perspectives. The business unit encourages relationships with partners from City departments, industry and public organizations to support the delivery of quality public service to Calgarians.
CITYonline provides pay-per-use shopping for a variety of products that can be shipped right to your door or downloaded. Transit tickets and passes, backyard composters, maps, digital data and property information are just some of the products available for sale online. CITYonline has information and products for both citizens and businesses.
Licensing City Data
The City of Calgary offers a one stop point of access for electronic data access and licensing services for municipal data. The City licenses a range of digital data and mapping products, creating both customized data and mapping as well as standard products for a variety of corporate clients.

The City of Calgary provides extensive self-serve customer defined, and standard geospatial products and data. From aerial-acquired GIS data and imagery to Ownership Parcel Fabrics, the City offers a robust inventory of highly accurate, cost-effective geospatial products and data.
Partnering With Industry Symposium
Each January, The City of Calgary partners with the Alberta Roadbuilders & Heavy Construction Association to host the annual Partnering With Industry Symposium. The event was created as a venue for bringing together City representatives with public partners and local industry to share information on capital program budgets, upcoming projects, emerging trends, and issues. Attended by roughly 500 individuals from the consulting, construction, and other associated industries, as well as various levels of government, this event is really about coming together to share our collective plans for supporting the city’s growth.
Corporate Project and Asset Management
On behalf of the Corporation, CAI manages the Corporate Asset and Project Management programs. These programs are managed in accordance to both the Project Management Policy and the Asset Management Policy and Calgary's Asset Management Strategy. Products of the programs include the Infrastructure Status Report, and the Corporate Asset Management Plan, as well as the Corporate Project Management Framework.
