If you have moved out of the city, or your cat or dog has died or was given away, please cancel your animal licence.

Visit our online system to make any changes to your animal's licence, including cancelling it.
Cancel your licence by phone
To cancel by telephone please call 311 from within Calgary or 403-268-CITY (2489) from outside Calgary.
Cancel your licence by mail or fax
If you prefer to submit your cancellation by mail, please indicate on your Animal Licence Certificate or invoice that you need to cancel your pet's licence, state the reason for cancellation, and mail or fax it to:
