Reporting Wildlife

Abandoned, injured or orphaned wildlife.

Injured large wildlife

Injured large wildlife (e.g., bears, elk, moose, deer and cougars) can be dangerous and difficult to transfer, and are often not permitted to be rehabilitated.

To report, call Alberta Fish & Wildlife at 403-297-6423 (between 8:15 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday) or 1-800-642-3800 (outside of office hours).

Other smaller wildlife

For smaller mammals and birds, please contact one of the two wildlife rehabilitation centres that operate within the City of Calgary.
