Reporting injured wildlife

Should you encounter injured wildlife, please note the following:

  • For large animals call Alberta Fish and Wildlife at 403-297-6423.
  • For injured wildlife, including mammals, birds or reptiles, you can call the Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation at 403-946-2361. They consider large injured adult mammals, such as deer and moose, on a case by case basis.
  • For abandoned, injured or orphaned wildlife (birds, small mammals, amphibians, and reptiles) call the Calgary Wildlife Rehabilitation Society at 403-239-2488.
