The Calgary AfterSchool program offers Calgary kids with positive, structured activities during the critical after-school hours. Kids who are provided with safe and stimulating environments between 3 and 6 p.m. are significantly less at risk to get involved in crime, gangs, substance abuse, teenage pregnancy, poor grades and other negative activities and out-comes. Our programs also lower stress levels for working parents, who will know where their children are and what they are doing.

- Will the program let your child build on their talents or interests?
- Will your child meet new friends at the program?
- Is the program in your community? Will your child have easy ac-cess to it?
- Is there a nearby transit route?
- Are the program staff friendly, caring and knowledgable?
- Do the program staff encourage feedback from families?
- Do you have to pay for the program? Are there subsidies available?
- What days and times is the program offered on?
