Volunteer with us

Why volunteer?
Want to meet new people, gain new skills and spend time getting active? Volunteering with our  community programs will provide all these benefits and more. You’ll have fun while feeling good about giving back to the community. We offer full training for all of our volunteer positions and there’s always the potential to turn a volunteer opportunity into a career path.

We frequently recruit volunteers for a wide range of positions. You could be doing anything from assisting with programs and lessons to participating in a Paint the Town event. We also recruit volunteers for community festivals and events.

Volunteer opportunities change with the seasons and as different programs are added, so if you don't find an opportunity that interests you today, please check back later or call 311.

How to become a volunteer

Volunteering is easy. Just follow these steps:
  1. Identify your interests, skills, and availability, then determine a volunteer opportunity to match your needs.
  2. Contact the volunteer coordinator listed as responsible for the specific volunteer opportunity you are interested in.
  3. If you meet the position requirements, we will schedule an interview to determine the needs and benefits of both parties.
  4. We will conduct selected screening practices that include reference checks and may include police checks, depending on the volunteer position.
  5. We will schedule your orientation and training.
