Are you a youth looking for a job or wanting to plan your career?
The Youth Employment Centre (YEC) offers free year round career planning and job search assistance for youth between 15 – 24 years of age.

YEC can help you:
- Learn job search, résumé, cover letter and interview skills.
- Complete industry training.
- Access computers, job board, fax and photocopier.
- Create a portfolio.
- Explore career and school options.
Drop in to the Youth Employment Centre and meet with a career and employment counsellor, or get job search and career planning hints at www.nextsteps.org.
Regular Hours of Operation
Monday- Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
(Closed statutory holidays)
For your first visit, it is best to come Monday - Friday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. to make sure you have enough time.
Bring your social insurance number to register. If you don't have one, we can help you to get one. Youth can use services on a come-and-go basis after they register.
Do you need help with more than job search and career planning? YEC shares office space with other youth organizations you can connect with.
All YEC services are offered at no cost.
