Calgary is home to community organizations, and immigrant-serving agencies who provide services and programs to help newcomers. Whether it’s finding the right school for your children, finding employment or participating in recreational programs, these organizations can help.

​Calgary Public Libraries ​The Calgary Public Library has 18 library locations in Calgary. There are many books to help adults and children learn English as well as free ESL conversation circles and writing club, settlement desks and citizenship classes. 
All locations offer free printing, photocopying, computers and internet. Find a location near you.
Genesis Centre 1000 Voices
7555 Falconridge Blvd. N.E.
​Recreation, sport and culture facility. 1000 Voices works collaboratively with over 40 service providers and houses more than 100 programs, including employment training, settlement services and programs for seniors and youth.

 

Immigrant serving agencies

Calgary has many immigrant serving agencies available to help newcomers. Most of these organizations can help with everything from housing and language training to employment and finding a social circle at no cost.
