Summer Partners 2015
Community & Neighbourhood Services works with several partners over the summer to enhance our program delivery and ensure the best experience for our participants. Thank you to the following partners for your support.
Calgary Public Library
The Calgary Public Library will be visiting a few Park n’ Play/Stay n’ Play and Summer Adventure camps to teach the participants about all the different resources the Library has to offer. They will be reading books to the children based around the summer camp weekly themes, lead discussions surrounding literary as well as signing up the participants for a free library card.
Families Matter is committed to strengthening families through life’s many transitions. They will attend selected Stay n’ Play locations providing group support by way of introducing new songs and games as well as providing resources options to the parents participating in the program.
TELUS Spark, Calgary's Science Centre will be partnering with The City to bring more fun, learning experiences this summer! TELUS Spark will be bringing some of our activities to Calgarian families in various communities. Play with us and build stronger, healthier brains.
The Community Kitchen Program of Calgary, Tummy Tamers program partners with The City of Calgary to provide a hot lunch or snacks to the children at several Park n’ Play programs. A hot lunch or snacks along with information on nutrition, stranger safety, hygiene, active living, and information surrounding the importance of breakfast and snacks are provided to the kids at no charge. Tummy Tamers staff, provide a lunch at two City Park n’ Play sites each week as well as visiting two others sites to deliver an afternoon snack.
