October 7-13, 2012
Participate in Fire Prevention Week and bring your family to one of the fire stations listed below to meet local firefighters.
See fire trucks and learn about how they assist firefighters at the scene of a fire. Learn about the protective clothing firefighters must wear and the special tools they use when battling a blaze or performing a difficult rescue.
The 2012 National Fire Prevention Week theme is "Have Two Ways Out". Valuable tips on kitchen safety, smoke alarm maintenance and developing a home escape plan will be provided.
Our corporate sponsor, Canada Safeway has provided light refreshments to make your day even more enjoyable. Load up the family and stop by one of the selected fire stations and don't forget to bring a camera!
