The Healthy Yards Program is a Calgarian's introductory guide to a healthy and beautiful yard! The program offers an environmentally-friendly approach to yard, lawn and garden care in Calgary.

Healthy Yards Program representatives will be delivering workshops in participating communities. All residents of the participating communities are invited to register for the program, before their community workshop date.

What's included?
Program participants receive useful equipment including a composter and a rain barrel for the program. New participants attend a two and a half hour educational workshop to become familiar with Healthy Yards principles.
Healthy Yards participants will also receive a Healthy Yards DVD demonstrating and explaining how to:
- Use equipment (composter and rain barrel).
- Plant water-wise alternatives for Calgary's climate.
- Use responsible pest management techniques.
Who can participate?
The Healthy Yards Program is available in select communities chosen by The City of Calgary. Interested residents of participating communities are encouraged to register for the program before their community workshop date.
