What's included?
Program participants receive useful equipment including a composter and a rain barrel for the program. New participants attend a two and a half hour educational workshop to become familiar with Healthy Yards principles.
Healthy Yards participants will also receive a Healthy Yards DVD demonstrating and explaining how to:
- Use equipment (composter and rain barrel).
- Plant water-wise alternatives for Calgary's climate.
- Use responsible pest management techniques.
How do I participate?
The Healthy Yards Program is FREE and limited to 200 participants each year with a two year program commitment. View Healthy Yards photos from program participants!
