Built mostly in the 1960 and 70s, City-operated arenas are an important part of the amateur ice sport scene in Calgary. Ongoing maintenance, upgrades and enhancements are required to prolong the life and ensure the continued use of these facilities. Upgrades are part of planned lifecycle maintenance for City-operated arenas. For information on current renovation projects at City arenas, visit the Arena Upgrades page.
