Please note: Calgary Recreation is improving accessibility in facilities whenever upgrades are done. Levels of accessibility vary according to when our facilities were built and when major renovations were completed, so not all parts of the facility may be “accessible for all”. This information indicates the parts of the facility that are barrier-free and is provided to help customer(s) with a disability find a facility that can meet their particular sensory or mobility needs.

Parking

  • No designated accessible parking spaces – the parking lot does not have painted stalls

Entrance

  • West entrance is at ground level (no stairs)
  • Push plate/button opens door at West entry

Washrooms

  • Female washroom– barrier-free stall
    • no power operated door
    • doorway width is 720 mm
    • centre line of toilet is positioned too far from side wall
  • Male washroom– barrier-free stall
    • no power operated door
    • doorway width is 740 mm
    • centre line of toilet is positioned too close to side wall

Interior building elements

  • 1 floor/level in facility
  • Continuous accessible path of travel (public corridor is at least 1100 mm wide) to:
    • Visual Arts Studio Room I,II & III
      • no power operated door
    • Ceramics Studio

Access Feature

Accessible pottery wheel​

Wildflower has an accessible pottery wheel which allows persons in wheelchairs or those preferring to stand at the wheel, to take part in our seasonal potter’s wheel courses. ​
