Decision-making process

The final decision on submitting a bid for the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games will be made by the following parties:
 
  • Calgary City Council
  • Government of Canada
  • Government of Alberta
  • Town of Canmore
  • Canadian Olympic Committee
  • Canadian Paralympic Committee
Calgary City Council will make its decision based on citizen engagement feedback, Vote 2018 results, The City of Calgary's analysis and the contents of Calgary 2026's Draft Hosting Plan Concept.
