Ticket2Play is a Positive Ticket partnership between The City’s Calgary Recreation business unit and the Calgary Police Service.
As part of the program, Calgary police officers have the opportunity to award a Ticket2Play to children and youth who:
  • Are following safety guidelines (i.e. wearing a bike helmet)
  • Are positively contributing to their community (i.e. volunteering)
  • Display a positive attitude in interactions with Calgarians
Each Ticket2Play includes two free admissions to a City of Calgary indoor pools, fitness and Leisure Centre as well as arenas. Tickets can also be redeemed at Vivo.
Ticket2Play provides Calgary Recreation and the Calgary Police Service the opportunity to work together to create city wide connections with children and youth who are engaging in positive community activities. Through its rewards, the program also encourages active participation in recreation.

As a cornerstone of building complete communities, recreation has a direct impact on the health, safety, quality of life and well-being of Calgary’s youth. According to ParticipACTION, only 9 per cent of 5-17 year olds get the recommended 60 minutes of heart-pumping activity they need each day.

Together, Calgary Recreation and the Calgary Police Service are aiming to collectively reward our young Calgarians for making Calgary a great place to live and a great place to make a life.
