Volunteer position: Council Chamber and Municipal Complex Tour Guide

​Position Description:
We are looking for proud Calgarians who have a passion for educating others about The City of Calgary, its municipal government, facts about The City of Calgary, and providing information on various art and displays in the Calgary Municipal Complex. Tour Guides will provide scripted tours of Council Chamber and Calgary Municipal Complex for school aged children, teachers, and parents. While these are primarily for school aged children, teachers and parents, the tours also involve people and groups of all ages and from around the world.

Work Location:
Calgary Municipal Complex

General Requirements:
If you are fluent in English, have experience in public speaking, good interpersonal skills, enjoy children, have an understanding of or an interest in civic politics, and have knowledge of the City as a whole you are an ideal candidate for the position. For security purposes a police background check will be required.

Time Commitment:
Tours take place during working hours Monday to Friday. Volunteers will be scheduled according to their availability.​
