Day time Preschool Program Volunteer

Volunteer with Recreation | Other volunteer opportunities

Position description:
Assisting an instructor in one hour preschool age class with a variety of activities. Volunteer duties will include interacting with the participants while helping them experience a variety of new activities, such as arts/crafts, music and sports.  Helping with equipment set up and take down for the program will also be required.

Work location:
Southland Leisure Centre - 2000 Southland Drive S.W.

Required skills:
Must like working with preschoolers (ages 3 -5 years) in a high paced atmosphere!
Ability to be interactive with the children.

Training:
Once all of the paper work (including the police check) is complete, you will receive training introducing you into the program.

Time commitment:
We ask volunteers to commit to a minimum of a 1 hour class a week for up to 10 weeks.
Hours range between 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Fridays
