Community Cultural Development

Community Cultural Development (CCD) is an arts-based community building tool that promotes a sense of place, empowerment, and public participation.

The CCD team within the Public Art Program works to identify opportunities for art events, activities and programs that will encourage citizens to engage with public art in new ways. It takes a needs-and/or issues-based approach to community development, working with Calgary's at-risk and marginalised communities to provide all Calgarians with the opportunity to voice their experiences through art.
