Glenmore Sailing School offers racing opportunities for more advanced sailors. From advanced CANSail daycamps to Junior Sailing Club and Adult Recreational Racing, racing at Glenmore Sailing School is a chance to hone your skills, make friends, and have fun.
Interested in learning to race sailboats? The Glenmore Sailing School youth race programs are for students aged 11 and up. the chance to develop racing skills, become better sailors, and have a ton of fun in a low-key, friendly racing environment. Racing components will be included in CanSAIL 3, 4, and 5 level daycamps.
Junior Sailing Club
The Junior Sailing Club is an evening program designed for students who want to get into racing. To be eligible to join the Junior Sailing Club, students need to take CANSail 2 at least once. The Junior Sailing Club practices twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings through the spring and summer, and sailors can compete in Wednesday Night Racing and in local regattas on the Glenmore Reservoir.
Adult Recreational racing program is for adults with some sailing experience. It is designed to get intermediate and advanced adult sailors involved in the dinghy racing community on Glenmore Reservoir. The program develops racing and sailing skills in a laid-back setting. Recreational racing trains on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Sailors may choose to compete in Wednesday Night Racing (with Glenmore Sailing Club) and in regattas on the Glenmore Reservoir. For Laser racing, register for Adult Recreation Race Program. For keelboat racing, register for Start Keelboatd - B - Racing.
