Neighbour Day

On June 20 and 21 last year, Calgary faced the greatest challenge in our history. This year, you were invited to remember the flood while celebrating the spirit of Calgary and the remarkable outpouring of kindness, help, and citizenship exhibited by all Calgarians.

On Saturday, June 21, Calgary embraced Neighbour Day with block parties, bbqs, community events, corporate functions and more.

Friends, families, neighbours and strangers came together again to celebrate our community. Even Mayor Naheed Nenshi was a whirlwind of neighbourly visits, clocking 17 stops throughout the day where he met with Calgarians from all across our city. To check out some of the pictures from Neighbour Day 2014, including quite a few of the Mayor’s adventures, visit our Flickr gallery!

Thanks Calgary, for making Neighbour Day 2014 such a great success. We’re all in this together, and together we’ve proved we can accomplish anything!
