Effective bookings for athletic facilities to avoid user conflicts and double-booking

Cut Red Tape

Recreation and Parks playing fields can be located closely to one another. When both locations are booked, it can create user conflict for the parties involved as there may not be enough room for both activities to take place at the same time.

Changes made

Recreation worked with Parks to complete a review and cleanup of the inventory of bookable parks facilities. Wherever fields are in close proximity which could cause safety concerns, these notes and conditions have been placed into the system to reduce and avoid these conflicts. This work involved visiting almost 900 playfields across the city, verifying the field information in our GIS system against the physical field.
