Building permits should cover all gas

When a new home is built, the building permit should cover all gas, including fireplaces.

The Single Construction Permit includes gas and fireplace processes.


Now applicants identify proposed appliances during application. If the homeowner decides to add or change appliances or finish the basement before the project is completed, the original permit holder can call 311 to have changes made to the original permit – removing the requirement for an additional permit.
