Improve coordination of inspection services and information sharing to better serve customer needs.

Building Regulations implemented the multi-agency Coordinated Safety Response Team in 2011 in an effort to resolve community based safety issues in a coordinated effort. The City is currently investigating the opportunity to move the current safety codes officer roles from discipline specific processes to multi-disciplinary building inspection teams. The timing of this will be determined following internal organizational review of PDA.
This item is part of the 2015-2016 work plan. This project is deemed not feasible as it will extend past the Cut Red Tape program end of June 2015.
