Assessment information requests for property & business assessments

Assessed Persons and/or their authorized agents may request additional assessment information by using the online Assessment Information Request (AIR) service on Assessment Search or submitting an AIR form.

Note: Only customers who own non-residential and multi-residential properties, and their authorized agents, are able to use the online service. All others must complete and submit the appropriate paper form below. Customers who submit an AIR form will be billed a $50 fee for each property/business account requested.

Residential - Property Assessment Information Request (PAIR)

Residential - Property Assessment Information Request (PAIR)

An assessed person or their authorized agent should use this form to:

  • Request, under section 299 of the Municipal Government Act (MGA), information about how the assessor prepared the assessment of that person’s residential property.
  • Request, under section 300 of the MGA, summary assessment information about any assessed comparable residential property in the municipality (to a maximum of five (5) properties).

  • Request, under section 299 of the MGA, information about how the assessor prepared the assessment of that person’s non-residential property.
  • Request, under section 300 of the MGA, summary assessment information about any assessed comparable property in the municipality (to a maximum of five (5) properties).

Business Assessment Information Request (BAIR)

An assessed business owner or their authorized agent should use this form to: 

  • Request summary business assessment information on their business and any assessed comparable businesses (to a maximum of five businesses).

Note: Before an agent is able to submit an AIR form, the owner must authorize the agent in Assessment Search.

As part of the AIR, customers may request an Assessment Explanation Supplement (AES) report on their own property or business, and AES reports on up to five (5) comparable properties or businesses (per subject property or business) at no cost. The AES report explains how the assessment of a specific property or business was prepared.

Residential property owners

After logging into Assessment Search, you can view:

  • Your Property Assessment Detail Report
  • Property Assessment Summary Reports on up to 50 comparable properties

Non-residential and multi-residential property owners

After logging into Assessment Search, you can view:

  • Your Property Assessment Detail Report
  • Property Assessment Summary Reports on up to 50 comparable properties, with AES reports for each of the comparables

Business owners

After logging into Assessment Search, you can view:

  • Your Business Assessment Detail Report
  • Business Assessment Summary Reports on up to 50 comparable businesses, with AES reports for each of the comparables

If you exceed the 50 online Assessment Summary Reports limit, additional reports may be authorized by requesting additional Assessment Summary Report views. Any requests for additional online Assessment Summary Reports received in other formats will not be accepted or processed.
