Overview
Late night taxi stands are designated areas where taxis can line-up and wait for customers. Ten of them are installed in Calgary's Centre City in addition to existing 24 hour taxi stands. They operate every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night between the hours of 10 p.m. and 3 a.m. Conveniently located near restaurants, theatres and bars, the goal is to ensure taxis have a safe place to load and unload passengers in congested areas.
Late Night Taxi Stands are a cooperative effort of The City of Calgary, Calgary Police Service, the taxi industry and the business community.

The key to a great night out is to have a plan to get home safely. Think about leaving early to avoid the rush for cabs at closing time. If you choose to drive, agree to a designated driver for the evening.
