West Calgary Trans-Canada Highway Corridor Study - Development Proposals Summary

The West Calgary Trans-Canada Highway Corridor Study is intended to help The City identify and evaluate development issues relevant to three proposals that we are currently considering.

All three proposals will require an outline plan that identifies a basic subdivision pattern and addresses infrastructure needs, financing agreements and development issues.  These plans include the location and size of roads, the distribution of park and school sites, and location of various land use districts.

All of the proposals will also require amendments to the Calgary West Area Structure Plan. Amendments to the area structure plan must align with other policies including the Municipal Development Plan.

The three proposals are:
  1. Immediately Southwest of Stony Trail & Trans-Canada Interchange (LOC2011-0061)
  2. Immediately South of Valley Ridge Blvd & Trans-Canada Interchange (LOC2011-0079)
  3. Immediately West of Crestmont (LOC2011-0110)
