The City of Calgary Historic Resource Conservation Grant Program provides financial incentives for the restoration, preservation and rehabilitation of historic properties in Calgary.
To be eligible, a property must be listed on the City’s Inventory of Evaluated Historic Resources and be protected by a City of Calgary bylaw as a Municipal Historic Resource, or in the process of being protected.
Applicants are eligible every 15 years for up to 50% of approved conservation costs up to a maximum of 15% of a property’s assessed value (assessed value at the time of application). Applicants are considered on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Prospective applicants are requested to contact City of Calgary Heritage Planning staff before making an application to ensure that the property is eligible and that the application would meet program requirements.
