The City has made some adjustments to Snow Routes in Bankview, Elboya, Hillhurst, Renfrew and Lake Bonavista
After the first Snow Event, citizen feedback and concerns were monitored closely and combined with data collected from maintenance operations and the Calgary Parking Authority to determine areas where the Snow Route program could be improved.
Moving forward, Calgarians can expect to see the following changes to Snow Routes:
Increased signage
- Additional signage has been added to areas with overnight Snow Route parking bans in BRZ areas.
- Snow Route signage located in areas with “grid” road patterns will receive increased signage.
- Snow Route signage in all other areas will be reviewed on a request basis from feedback received from citizens as well as internal reviews to determine if extra signage is required.
“Hot-spot” area reviews
The review has resulted in minor adjustment to Snow Routes in Bankview, Elboya, Hillhurst, Renfrew and Lake Bonavista.
Parking restrictions on specific Snow Routes in these areas were reassessed based on a number of factors including limited parking alternatives, citizen feedback, input from the Calgary Parking Authority and discussions with area aldermen and community associations.

Elboya
- Stanley Road from 46 Avenue S.W. to 49 Avenue S.W.
- 46 Avenue S.W. from 4 Street S.W. to Stanley Road
- 4 Street S.W. from 46 Avenue S.W. to 45 Avenue S.W.
