Calgary Traffic Report 2016 Paving Projects

As part of The City of Calgary’s Pavement Rehabilitation Program, Anderson Road S.W. between Macleod Trail and 14 Street S.W. is scheduled for rehabilitation during the 2016 construction season.

The City of Calgary would like to thank residents, businesses and commuters for their patience and understanding during the road construction process. Please observe all posted signs and speed limits to ensure the safety of commuters and construction crews.

Project Scope

  • Localized concrete sidewalk or curb and gutter repairs.
  • Localized base repairs will also occur between Macleod Trail and 14 Street to improve the structure of pavement.
  • Milling of the existing asphalt surface on the entire segment.
  • Overlay with two or more layers of asphalt to provide a structurally sound and smooth surface for the design life.

Timeline

Construction is slated to begin during the first week of July 2016. During the initial phase of construction, concrete repairs will be performed along Anderson Road. There will be temporary traffic impacts throughout the construction season.
