Traffic signal Nightflash

Nightflash is when the traffic signal’s normal operation is suspended for the night time only in locations where an intersection has a low traffic volume during the night.

On one street the signal would have a blinking yellow signal to let vehicles know to proceed with caution. On the other side of the street, the signal is blinking red to indicate that vehicles have to come to a full stop. Then drivers can proceed when it is safe to drive through the intersection.
