17 Ave SW construction - Business support

We’re committing to working with businesses throughout construction.

One way we’re doing that is through marketing support. Our goal is to make sure people visiting the area know they can still get here, whether they’re going for a bite to eat, visiting a friend, shopping, an appointment, or just enjoying a walk on 17 Avenue and area.

We’re paving the way for a better 17 Avenue S. It’s an investment in the Avenue, between Macleod Trail and 14 Street S.W., so it can continue to serve business, citizens and Calgary for decades to come. Here’s what we’ll be up to on 17 Avenue S. over the next few years:

  • Rebuilding the road, including a new road design that’s safer and more predictable
  • Improving crosswalks and intersections for those on foot
  • Upgrading water and sanitary utilities for current and future development
  • Improving sidewalk- new sidewalks and repairs, lighting and sitting areas
  • Upgrading telecommunications, power and gas utilities

The City is making the effort to ensure {insert Business Name} is fully accessible during construction.
