2016 Youth Photography Contest

As part of the Mayor's Environment Expo, the photography contest encourages students to consider the environmental community that surrounds them and to take action to protect it.

If you are a student in grades 7 to 12, grab your camera and capture your community, classroom or neighbourhood. Then enter your best shot into one of the following categories:

  • Energy Consumption
  • Green House Gasses
  • Air Quality
  • Climate Change

Enter today! The contest closes at 4:00 p.m. on April 22, 2016.

Winners will be recognized at a reception on May 26, 2016. Winning photos will be featured on The City of Calgary's Instagram account and will be displayed during the Mayor's Environment Expo from June 7 - 9.

Winners of the 2015 Youth Photography Contest:

First Place: Liam Swenson, Crescent Heights High School, "Into the Woods" category
Second Place: Marisa Clark, Clear Water Academy, "Into the Woods" category
Third Place: Sunroop Dhillon, Crescent Heights High School, "Into the Woods" category
