Waste & Recycling Services offers weekly mixed paper/cardboard recycling container services to commercial customers on a fee-for-service basis. In order to receive this service, you must have an existing garbage container service account with The City to receive a recycling container as well.

Commercial motor oil recycling
The City of Calgary only handles motor oil (and paint) from residential sources. For more information, visit Household Chemical Drop-off program.
Business owners and commercial operators with oil to recycle can visit the Yellow Pages under Oils – Waste for disposal options.
Commercial paint recycling
East Calgary Landfill accepts commercial paint at the Throw 'n' Go area or at the Paint Transfer Station.
This change was made to provide a location for the appropriate disposal of commercial paint, which is not accepted in the household hazardous waste drop-off program.
Commercial businesses will be directed to one of two areas dependent on quantity. Smaller quantities will be placed at the Throw 'N' go. Larger quantities will be directed to the paint transfer station.
All materials must qualify under Alberta Recycling guidelines.
No charges will apply.
Please note: Shepard and Spyhill landfills do not accept commercial paint.
