Dispose of it safely

Bear spray must be disposed of safely so it does not create an environmental or safety hazard.

You can take up to 20 litres of household chemicals per week, free of charge, to any of The City landfill Throw 'n' Go areas or designated fire stations as part of the Household Hazardous Waste Program.

Landfill Throw 'n' Go areas are available when the landfills are open. The Household Hazardous Waste drop-offs are open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
