 Election signs

Throw it out - Black Cart

You can also break down signs and place them inside your black cart. Just make sure you can still pull over the lid of the cart.

Recycle it - City landfills

City landfills accept corrugated plastic election signs as well as metal and wood sign posts for recycling in the period immediately following municipal, provincial and federal elections. Campaign teams can collect their signs, separate them from their posts and deliver them to the landfill. Ask your candidate's campaign team for further details.

Election signs and sign posts should not go in your blue cart or a community recycling depot. This is because the automated recycling separation system can't handle these materials properly.
