 Glass - Drinking glasses

Donate it

Useable household goods can be donated to various charities. Refer to Alberta's Recycling Hotline for more information.

Dispose of it safely

Drinking glasses are not accepted in blue carts or at community recycling depots. Unusable drinking glasses should be packaged properly for disposal in your black cart.

Unusable or broken drinking glasses should be disposed of safely by putting the pieces into a puncture-resistant, non-breakable, sealed container (i.e. plastic tub, plastic bleach bottle, milk container or pop bottle) or by wrapping it in two layers of paper and bagging them. Label as "sharps" with a permanent marker and place in your black cart.
