Residential

Recycle it

You can take compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs, free of charge, to any of The City landfill Throw 'n' Go areas or designated fire stations as part of the Household Hazardous Waste Program.

Dispose of it safely

Up to six bulbs at a time can be packaged properly and placed in your black cart.

Wrap them separately in paper then place them in a bag and tie closed.

Properly packaged light bulbs can also be taken to City landfills for disposal. Charges will apply.​​​

Commercial

Dispose of it safely

For commercial quantities a permit may be required. Complete an online service request or contact 311. Charges may apply.​​​​​​
