Save wrapping paper and tissue paper to reuse for future gifts and other occasions.
Residents can recycle glossy or matte birthday/christmas wrapping paper and tissue paper in their blue carts or at community recycling depots. Crumple it up into a big ball, and place it loose into the cart or depot bin. Do not put it in a plastic bag.
If you live in an apartment, townhouse or other multi-family complex, glossy and matte birthday/christmas wrapping paper should be accepted in your building's recycling program.
Starting November 1, 2016, we require businesses and organizations to recycle all the materials we do at home, plus scrap metal, clear plastic film (polyethylene) and wood. For more details, please view the recycling requirements for businesses and organizations.
