Drinking water

The City of Calgary works hard to ensure a safe, clean and reliable supply of drinking water. Our world-class water treatment and testing facilities continue to meet or perform better than all federal and provincial health guidelines. Our water quality team closely monitors drinking water daily throughout the system from the river, to our treatment plants and throughout the distribution system that delivers water to homes and businesses, conducting more than 150,000 tests annually..
