Pensions and retirement

Thinking of retiring from The City of Calgary?

When you are ready to retire, we know it is one of the most important life events many of us will ever experience, from both a personal and professional perspective. Long before we retire, we begin contributing to our pension plans.

For more information, please contact the HR Support Services at 403-268-5800

Contact Employment and Social Development Canada at 1-800-277-9914 to learn how income from other programs such as the Canada Pension Plan and Old Age Security may affect your income and influence the choice you make under your City pension.

Please note: should any questions arise concerning the interpretation or administration of benefit/pension plans referred to in your booklet, the official plan document will govern in all cases.
