The Mar. 21, 2016, Strategic Meeting of Council included:

Mid-Cycle Adjustments - Business Plan & Budget Update

Council received an update on Mid-Cycle Adjustments. This status update included information on the business plan and budget progress, risks in adjustments and the preliminary investment framework.

Principal Corporate Risks

Council received an update on Principal Corporate Risks. This update provided information on enhancements to the City’s integrated risk management model, the process for identifying key risks and next steps.

Railway Corridor Policy

Council received an update on the City’s Railway Corridor Policy. This update outlined the current approach to processing development permit applications adjacent to rail and working toward an improved policy framework for addressing these issues. Council directed Administration to consult with stakeholders to review the draft deliverables for a Rail Policy Framework and report back to Council with a terms of reference that includes deliverables, scope of work and timelines no later than Q2 of 2016.

Affordable Housing Strategy Discussion

Council received an update on the Corporate Affordable Housing Strategy. Council directed administration to report back to the Priorities and Finance Committee with a Corporate Affordable Housing Strategy on June 28, 2016.
