The May 25, 2016, Utilities and Corporate Services Committee meeting included:

Water and Wastewater Utilities Financial Plan Progress Report

Administration presented a report for information on the progress of the Utilities Financial Plan, which ensures improved financial capacity and sustainability to meet the challenges of maintaining service and responding to growth. Committee heard that the Utilities remain on track to achieve compliance with the financial targets set out in the Utilities Financial Plan, thereby ensuring a financially sustainable future. Achieving compliance is dependent on the rate increases approved in Action Plan 2015-2018. The committee received the report for information and the presentation will be shared with Council.

Drainage Financial Plan Progress Report

Administration presented a report for information on the progress of the Drainage Financial Plan, which will ensure financial targets are achieved and compliance with the financial policies set out in the Drainage Financial Plan is maintained.

Committee heard that Drainage is in compliance with the financial targets set out in the Drainage Financial Plan, helping to ensure a financially sustainable future based on the current levels of service. Maintaining compliance is dependent on the stormwater drainage charge increases approved in Action Plan 2015-2018. The committee received the report for information and will forward the presentation to Council.

Status of Outstanding Motions

Outstanding motions and directions for the SPC on Utilities and Corporate Services as of 2016 May 18 was presented. The committee received the report for information.
