Good to know

Proclamations and Letters of Recognition are public service documents and not intended for marketing purposes or commercial promotion. If used to promote an awareness campaign, they must be kept in their original form.

Proclamations and Letters are strictly honourary and are not endorsements for a cause or program. Requests must be initiated by a representative of an organization. Individual or personal requests are not considered.

Mayor Nenshi does not typically present proclamations at events. Looking to invite the Mayor to your event instead of receiving a proclamation?

If you are looking for a welcome message from the Mayor for your event or program, please complete the Request a Letter form.

The decision to issue and declare proclamations and letters of recognition is at the discretion of the Office of the Mayor.
